Engineering Manager II - Whatsapp

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Manager II - WhatsApp based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the engineering organization behind a rapidly scaling WhatsApp communications platform serving millions of businesses globally.
You will own the technical direction of a critical ecosystem spanning onboarding, WABA management, template lifecycles, high-throughput messaging, and usage metering.
The position combines strategic engineering leadership with hands-on architectural ownership across highly distributed, event-driven systems.
You will guide a team of 8+ engineers while solving complex challenges around reliability, latency, concurrency, data integrity, and tenant isolation.
Working closely with product, infrastructure, security, finance, legal, and external platform partners, you will turn ambitious product goals into resilient systems built for the next order of magnitude.
You will also help evolve observability, compliance, billing, and operational practices while introducing AI-assisted engineering workflows responsibly.
