Job Overview

The Senior Data Engineer (Data Platform) role at Brightline is designed for a highly skilled data engineering professional. You will lead design, development, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of the organization’s data infrastructure. This enables analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Accountabilities

• Own and maintain a modern data platform ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake, dbt transformations, data ingestion pipelines, and Tableau analytics.
• Build data pipelines and APIs to connect across systems and unlock business capabilities.
• Implement data engineering best practices, including CI/CD workflows, testing, and documentation.
• Design scalable dbt models and ELT pipelines for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver trusted, business-ready data sets.
• Reduce complexity and optimize storage and consumption costs.
• Design and maintain dashboards, including Tableau administrative management.
• Partner across technical and non-technical teams to translate business requirements into engineering solutions.
• Identify and implement efficiencies in platform architecture, data processes, and pipeline performance.

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering with modern data infrastructure development. You must have expert-level proficiency in SQL and Snowflake, deep experience with dbt for data modeling, familiarity with Tableau Server administration, and knowledge of version control systems and CI/CD practices. Additional skills include some experience with Python and API development and the ability to navigate ambiguous business contexts with strong communication skills.

Bonus Skills

Experience with Segment, Amplitude, Iterable, marketing analytics, front-end data visualization, and AI/ML engineering practices is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary between $140,000 and $190,000 USD annually, with equity, stock options, comprehensive health benefits, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), and additional perks. This position is remote-first.
