Job Duck is looking for an ambitious, culturally diverse, and curious Legal Project and Data Assistant to join their team. This is a remote, full-time, long-term career opportunity with US-based employers. Role Overview

As a Legal Project and Data Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and organizational support to attorneys and paralegals. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, enjoys managing details, and takes pride in ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will play a vital role in maintaining case files, preparing documents, and coordinating communications with courts and clients. The ideal candidate will be resourceful, professional, and collaborative, with a strong ability to balance multiple priorities while supporting the legal team’s productivity.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM PST (USA)

Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Communicating with clients via phone, email, or in person to obtain information and provide updates.
  • Updating client and case records in Clio Grow and Clio Manage.
  • Opening and closing client files, ensuring proper record transfers and payment processing.
  • Filing documents electronically with the court and managing related court communications.
  • Drafting legal forms, documents, and correspondence for attorney review.
  • Producing weekly and monthly reports as requested by attorneys.
  • Copying, scanning, and filing records while maintaining organized electronic filing systems in Clio.
  • Scheduling case events and maintaining the master calendar.
  • Proofreading all prepared documents before submission to attorneys or paralegals.
  • Entering deadlines and reminders into Clio and resolving scheduling conflicts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least one to two years of experience in project management.
  • Experience working as a legal assistant.
  • Experience with data analysis is highly appreciated.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree, or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Clio Grow, Clio Manage, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, Zoom, and GoTo Meeting.
  • Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload).
  • Quiet, distraction-free remote work environment.
