About the Role: Compliance Desk Engineer

The Compliance Desk Engineer at Jio is responsible for critical activities related to IT and Cybersecurity Risk Management. This includes conducting risk assessments, implementing mitigation strategies, and continuously monitoring and reporting on risks. The role also involves defining cybersecurity architecture, performing risk reviews, and providing recommendations or approvals. A key aspect is the creation, review, and consistent enforcement of cybersecurity policies and processes.

You will be a vital part of the Reliance Cyber Security Team, handling service requests and incidents, creating service tickets, and setting up Security Assessment tasks on the internal portal according to standard operating procedures. Ensuring compliance status of assessments before approving them as per lead review and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all tickets are also core responsibilities.

Job Accountabilities

• Handle service requests and incidents for the Reliance Cyber Security Team.
• Create service tickets and Security Assessment tasks on the portal following SOPs.
• Ensure compliance status of assessments before granting approval as per Lead Review.
• Monitor SLA adherence for all service tickets.
• Assign tickets to appropriate personnel or teams based on assessment requirements.
• Prepare daily service request reports, including SLA breach reports.
• Alert the team proactively to ensure timely closure of service requests and maintain SLAs.
• Perform first-level verification of ticket server compliance based on SOPs.

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

• Proficient knowledge of IT systems, networking, and database concepts.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP and various Operating Systems (Windows/Unix), databases, and network devices.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing standard Network and Endpoint security controls/technologies suchations as Firewalls, IDS, VPN, and Anti-virus.
• Ability to review IT/Network architecture from a security perspective.
• Knowledge and experience in defining/assessing security hardening or secure configuration best practices for IT infrastructure (operating systems, network/security devices, databases) and applications.

Experience and Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA/MS from a reputed/recognized institute.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Information Security.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates personal drive and a positive work ethic to meet tight deadlines in demanding situations.
• Flexibility to adapt to various tasks, work environments, and locations.
• Ability to comprehend medium complexity tasks, create execution plans for manager review, and deliver with minimum supervision.
• Possesses an ownership mindset and persistence in following up with stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
