Jimdo empowers self-employed individuals and micro-businesses to thrive by simplifying the process of building successful online presences. Originating in a Northern German farmhouse in 2007, Jimdo has grown into a profitable, remote-first company with over 220 employees from 50+ nationalities across 15+ countries, having helped 36 million websites get online.
More than just a website builder, Jimdo is an AI-powered platform that acts as a true growth partner. It assists solopreneurs in getting found online, winning customers, and confidently running their businesses through personalized, data-driven guidance. The platform integrates design, business tools, and an AI core to convert customer data into actionable insights, helping users focus on business advancement.
Role Overview: Senior Product Marketing Manager
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Jimdo, you will be instrumental in defining how products go to market and gain traction, from initial positioning to messaging and adoption strategies. This leadership role involves translating product vision into clear, actionable narratives that drive growth, leading and scaling impact across various teams and for customers.
You will serve as the go-to expert for product positioning and go-to-market (GTM) strategy, driving clarity and alignment across Product, Marketing, Growth, and Customer Experience. Your work will be crucial in evolving Jimdo's perception from a website builder to a comprehensive growth partner for solopreneurs, ensuring messaging resonates and fosters product adoption.
Your Impact
- Own the product positioning, segmentation, and messaging for Jimdo’s product suite, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment across all customer touchpoints.
- Define and maintain value propositions that are deeply rooted in customer Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) and deliver tangible outcomes, moving beyond internal assumptions.
- Create, maintain, and socialize comprehensive messaging frameworks for use across website content, lifecycle communications, acquisition campaigns, and internal enablement materials.
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new product launches, significant feature releases, and any changes to pricing or packaging.
- Define clear target segments, develop detailed rollout plans, establish success metrics, and ensure GTM readiness requirements are met to drive actual product adoption, not just initial awareness.
- Translate customer research, analysis of market trends, and competitive intelligence into clear, differentiated positioning and impactful GTM decisions.
- Build strong cross-functional alignment across Product, Growth, Lifecycle, Brand, and Creative teams, ensuring narrative clarity and internal confidence in product launches.
- Deliver essential enablement assets such as launch briefs, narrative decks, explainer content, and FAQs, empowering internal teams to execute their roles effectively.
- Guide the implementation of messaging across lifecycle marketing, website content, and in-product communications, ensuring consistent execution aligned with strategic intent.
- Monitor messaging performance and key adoption metrics, then rapidly iterate on strategies based on results and customer feedback.
- Maintain boundary discipline by focusing on providing strategic direction, clarity, and input, rather than getting involved in tactical campaign execution.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Strategy, or similar roles within SaaS, digital products, or product-led growth (PLG) environments.
- Proven track record of owning and successfully executing end-to-end GTM strategies, demonstrating measurable success in product adoption and market traction.
- Deep expertise in defining and implementing effective product positioning, customer segmentation models, and robust messaging frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of various customer research methodologies, including Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), and the ability to translate derived insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in competitive analysis and the skill to craft compelling differentiation narratives that highlight Jimdo's unique value.
- High competency in fostering cross-functional collaboration and managing stakeholders, particularly with Product, Growth, and Customer Experience (CX) teams.
- Skilled in creating impactful internal enablement content that enhances clarity and promotes organizational alignment.
- Familiarity with key SaaS metrics, various marketing tools, and analytics platforms to inform and measure strategy.
- Experience working with solopreneurs, microbusinesses, or B2C audiences is considered a significant advantage.
What Jimdo Offers
- Inspiring Mission: Empower solopreneurs and small businesses, contributing to vibrant communities.
- Flexibility and Trust: Fully remote work, flexible hours, focus on results, not hours.
- International Diverse Team: 248+ individuals from 50+ countries, active DEI Council and ERGs.
