Role: Service Manager
The Service Manager leads a team of Service Technicians & Heavy Maintenance Technicians ensuring high quality, efficient service and profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
Safety: Execute behavior-based safety programs, ensure technician training and monitor safety indicators.
Human Resources: Manage staffing, recruitment, employee development, performance management and certification training.
Operations: Oversee break-fix and project work, coordinate new equipment installations and maintain clear communication with key customers.
Financial: Ensure profitability by managing service operations, billing accuracy and efficient dispatch.
People: Schedule safety meetings, mentor technicians, monitor performance and take corrective actions as needed.
Customer: Monitor service levels, ensure quality workmanship, accurate work order completion and hold quarterly meetings with key customers.
Company Collaboration: Participate in ops meetings, coordinate with Sales and Service Directors, submit revenue forecasts and review service metrics.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of retail or commercial petroleum equipment service/installation experience or similar industry experience.
- Minimum of 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to travel and valid Driver License required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and customer satisfaction orientation.
- Pass drug screen, background check, and MVR if driving.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work long hours.
