Mouvement Marianne is a non-profit educational movement recognized as being of general interest, active throughout France. Founded in 2021 to address the difficulty many citizens have in understanding the workings of the Republic, it focuses on educating, raising awareness, and transmitting civic values.

Citoyens is its online media outlet, run entirely by volunteers. Its mission is to decipher current events through the lens of citizenship, making information accessible to everyone. "The news that makes you a citizen." The news journalist is the daily pulse of Citoyens. They follow real-time news and transform it into short, educational, and engaging content for the media's social networks. Their role is not to relay raw information but to explain, contextualize, and make it accessible to all citizens, in the true spirit of popular education.

Missions

Social Media Content Production

• Conduct daily monitoring of political, civic, and institutional news.
• Produce one piece of content per day for Citoyens' social media (Instagram): news analysis, civic fact, question posed to the community, etc.
• Write short, clear, and educational content — avoid jargon, always be accessible.
• Create or adapt associated visuals (using provided Canva templates).

Video Production (if comfortable on camera)

• Record short news analysis formats (1 to 3 minutes) from home.
• Send rushes to the video mission manager for editing.

Editorial Coordination

• Work closely with the Editorial Director to approve angles and topics.
• Adhere to Citoyens' editorial line: educational, non-partisan, republican spirit.
• Proactively suggest topics to cover.

Profile Sought

Essential

• Curiosity and genuine interest in political, civic, and institutional news.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to get to the point concisely.
• Responsiveness and regularity — this is core to the role.
• Proficiency in social media as a user.
• Regular and predictable availability during the week.

Appreciated

• Comfort on camera — video format opportunities exist within Citoyens.
• Knowledge of visual creation tools (Canva or equivalent).
• Experience in journalism, communication, or social media management.
• Interest in popular education and republican values.

Practical Details

• Commitment: Approximately 5-6 hours per week, to be organized freely according to your availability.
• Location: 100% remote, tele-volunteering.
• Tools: WhatsApp for coordination, Canva for visuals (templates provided).
• Supervision: Supported and validated by the Editorial Director.

Prerequisites

• Have an appetite for journalism and citizenship topics.
• Have the necessary time to complete the mission.
