Job Details
Position Summary
The Materials Specialist maintains the warehouse and stores stock with the Aircraft Maintenance Department in all Material Operations to ensure an adequate supply of materials.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform data entry into the computer inventory system for locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping materials.
- Load aircraft tires, brakes, and related aircraft parts and materials.
- Perform inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations based on leadership direction.
- Monitor and update stock items, manage minimum and maximum stock levels, and coordinate adjustments with various departments.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year experience in data entry/inventory management.
- Valid forklift and vehicle operating skills.
- Proficiency in using handheld devices and communication equipment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, travel, and work variable hours including holidays and weekends.
- Successful completion of Materials and General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and Hazmat Awareness courses.
- Valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
- May require U.S. Customs Clearance and IATA/DOT Hazardous Material Training based on location.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
- Authorization to work in the US; no visa sponsorship.
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
One year of warehouse experience.

Equipment
Use of computer, inventory control systems (TRAX), ground support equipment including trucks, tugs, forklifts (up to 35K), packing machines, scales, and storage system equipment.
Work Environment
Work in airport environments including outdoors, ramps, hangars, and terminal areas, often under seasonal weather and noise conditions. May involve irregular shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays and potential on-call responsibilities 24/7.
Physical Effort
Requires strenuous physical activity including heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently).
