Job Details
Position Summary
The Materials Specialist maintains the warehouse and stores stock with the Aircraft Maintenance Department in all Material Operations to ensure an adequate supply of materials.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform data entry into the computer inventory system for materials tracking.
- Load aircraft tires, brakes, and related parts and materials.
- Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations.
- Monitor and update stock items and coordinate stock level adjustments with various departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience And Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience in data entry or inventory management.
- Ability to drive forklifts and various vehicles meeting JetBlue standards.
- Proficiency with handheld two-way radios, headsets, or phones.
- Must pass relevant training and background checks, including Hazmat Awareness and security checks.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Legal eligibility to work in the US with appropriate travel documents.
Preferred Experience And Qualifications
- One year of warehouse experience.

Equipment

Work is performed in an airport setting with potential outdoor exposure, irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and elevated noise levels in certain areas.
Physical Effort
This role involves strenuous physical labor, including heavy lifting up to 100 pounds.
Compensation
Base pay starts at $22.04 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
