Position Summary
The Assistant Administrative is a member of an office support team responsible for providing administrative and material support to Pilots at JetBlue. This role involves both face-to-face and electronic communications with Pilots and other support offices.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate Pilot leave of absence and On the Job Injury (OJI) cases.
- Maintain Pilot dependability and performance documentation and electronic files.
- Assist in coordinating changes to pilot schedules, qualifications, pay, and dependability.
- Process expense reports for Pilots and administer the parking program.
- Distribute mail and email notifications to Pilots.
- Create informational items for updates, newsletters, and emails.
- Interface with various departments to support Pilot requirements.
- Prioritize, assign, and track work requests across departments.
- Plan and set up meetings, events, and functions for Pilots and Supervisory Crew.
- Order office materials and pilot supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED with at least one year of administrative support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required. Organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, are essential. Candidates must be available for occasional overnight travel (10%) and be legally eligible to work in the US.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, a team spirit, and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath, and Access are advantageous.

- Maintain a professional appearance, especially when on JetBlue flights.
- Assist with light cleaning on flights when possible.

- Note: Use of ChatGPT or similar tools during the interview process will disqualify candidates.
Equipment, Work Environment & Physical Effort
The role primarily involves computer and office equipment. The work environment is a traditional office setting, sometimes within an airport. Physical demands are minimal with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
Compensation
The base pay ranges from $20.50 to $25.00 per hour, along with benefits such as healthcare, 401(k) with company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, disability coverage, life insurance, and free space available travel on JetBlue.
