Regional Therapy Specialist

JenaValve Technology, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Therapy Specialist to join our team. This is an individual contributor role focused on developing and supporting the AR market through education and awareness initiatives.

Role Overview

The Regional Therapy Specialist will work collaboratively with Territory Sales Managers to act as the primary point person for education, therapy, disease state, and product awareness within implanting centers. A significant focus will be placed on engaging with referring physicians, as identified by the Territory Sales Manager and implanting center physicians. This role will also extend to supporting awareness activities with family practice physicians, patients, and their families, aiming to foster best practices for AR patient identification, selection, and timing. The Specialist will support 3-5 Territory Sales Managers, focusing on 1-2 targeted accounts per TSM in each assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support JVT product implants, including pre-case imaging review, valve preparation, loading, sizing, and placement.
  • Represent JenaValve to implanting and referring physicians and supporting medical professionals, advocating for disease state, product, and therapy awareness, education, and training.
  • Deliver product and therapy education and training to physicians on-site in hospitals to promote best practice use of JenaValve devices for aortic regurgitation treatment.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations to increase awareness of TAVR for AR and patient identification/flow best practices, supported by Sales Ops and marketing data.
  • Provide ongoing education and technical support to physicians and medical staff regarding therapy and disease state awareness, anticipating and resolving potential obstacles.
  • Engage with clinicians to identify opportunities for expanding the use of JenaValve products.
  • Collaborate with Territory Sales Managers, aligning on targeting, tactical approaches, and engagement plans to support implanting center strategies.
  • Work with marketing, sales operations, and the Clinical Team to ensure alignment and synergy in activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aortic valve disease and treatment, proactively developing tactical and engagement tools.
  • Gather feedback and clinical information from the field to provide input to the R&D product development group.
  • Develop and maintain professional, high-quality physician relationships.
  • Travel approximately 40-50%.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of related medical device development and/or structural heart experience in an acute care environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in market and/or therapy development for Structural Heart or Interventional Cardiology products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a commercial setting is preferred.
  • Vascular procedural knowledge is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills, including negotiation and relationship management.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; marketing or science-related degree preferred.
  • Experience in conference oral presentations and authorship of scientific peer-reviewed publications is preferred.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite required.
