Job Details

The Pharmacist, Jefferson Torresdale provides comprehensive patient care activities, including patient rounds with physicians, meticulous patient monitoring, and basic pharmacokinetics. This role involves critical drug utilization evaluation and active participation in the department's performance improvement program. Furthermore, the Pharmacist assists in delivering essential drug information services to the department, as well as educating pharmacy staff, other healthcare professionals, and the community on drug-related topics. All duties are performed in alignment with Jefferson Health's mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.

Qualifications

The successful incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to proficiently perform all essential job functions. Authorization or qualification for authorization as a preceptor of student interns in Pharmacy, as defined by the State Board of Pharmacy, is required. Membership in both state and national hospital pharmacy organizations is highly preferred, alongside demonstrated strong human relations and effective communication skills.

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD)

Experience

• Clinical experience as a pharmacist in an acute care setting is required.
• Completion of a general or specialized residency is preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements

• Current licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
