Job Overview
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Jefferson Health's Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, you will play a crucial role in an acute care setting. This full-time position involves overseeing the medication distribution system and proactively managing drug therapy to ensure patient safety and efficacy. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Interact collaboratively with co-workers, visitors, and staff, upholding Jefferson Health's values.
- Ensure the appropriateness of drug therapy and maintain strict compliance with hospital policies.
- Oversee the comprehensive distribution of medications across Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
- Support the implementation of robust processes to assure the highest quality of Pharmacy services.
- Identify and resolve complex drug therapy problems.
- Contribute to transition of care and discharge prescription planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this Clinical Pharmacist role, candidates should possess the following:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required.
- A PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and adherence to USP standards is very preferred.
- Experience with transition of care and discharge prescription planning is preferred.
