MENA Team Overview

The Jefferies MENA Investment Banking Group provides comprehensive investment banking services, including M&A, ECM, and DCM, to diverse companies across various sectors. Established in late 2023, the MENA IB Group is projected to grow to 10-15 bankers by early 2026. This dynamic environment offers interns the unique opportunity to take on significant responsibility, engage in creative problem-solving, and contribute entrepreneurially to the rapidly expanding MENA business.

Beyond fundamental analysis and research, Interns are encouraged to think creatively, offer input, and add value from day one, pursuing projects with excellence, collaboration, and the highest levels of integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial valuation, including discounted cash flow and multiples-based analysis.
  • Build and operate complex financial models.
  • Prepare pitchbooks and live deal materials, such as management presentations, offering memorandums, and prospectuses.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and product research.
  • Analyze detailed corporate and financial information.
  • Participate actively in the execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions.
  • Interact with clients and potential buyers.
  • Contribute to building out the MENA business, office, and franchise.

Requirements for Success

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a global team.
  • Self-starting approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong quantitative skills, accuracy, flexibility, reliability, dedication, and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent academic credentials and professional drive.
  • Previous investment banking or corporate finance experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently demonstrate a passion for excellence.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
  • Both attention to detail and the ability to comprehend the bigger picture.

Internship Program Details

This is a long-term off-cycle internship within the Investment Banking MENA team, based in the Dubai office. The program is slated for an April/May 2026 start, with recruiting conducted on a rolling basis from February. Only one application per recruitment season will be considered.
