Position Overview

The Director, Human Resources Business Partner is part of the HR leadership team at J.D. Power, responsible for executing people strategies in North America. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role partners with senior executives and cross-functional leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership aligning HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning efforts.
  • Drive change management strategies for M&A integration, restructuring, and transformation.
  • Champion performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage complex employee relations with a focus on legal compliance.
  • Utilize data analytics to inform talent decisions and track HR program impacts.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development centers.
  • Influence compensation, promotions, and internal mobility to support growth.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on employment law matters as needed.
  • Mentor and develop HR team members to foster continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive HR experience including senior HRBP or HR leadership roles, with a preference for candidates with industry experience in Data Analytics, Technology, or Automotive sectors. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required, while an advanced degree or HR certification is preferred. Must possess strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics tools.
