Overview
The Senior Manpower, Personnel and Training Specialist supports the DDG 1000 Logistics Department in developing, reviewing, and approving DDG 1000 MPT products. A candidate must have an active Secret clearance and meet the minimum requirements before applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate reports, schedules, recommendations, plans, performance metrics, and briefs.
- Support Manpower, Personnel and Training (MPT) activities.
- Monitor training curriculum and software development.
- Coordinate with Navy detailers and other personnel for crew detailing strategies.
- Maintain current DDG 1000 MPT plans in Navy systems like NTSP and CSPP.
- Facilitate working group meetings and interact with government and industry groups.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate fleet participation for DDG 1000 events.
- Integrate emerging Fleet initiatives into the DDG 1000 strategy.
- Provide logistics direction to employees and subordinates.
- Perform other program duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
- 15 years experience, including 5+ years in supervisory roles.
- Experience in Navy acquisition logistics strategy and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Navy contracting processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Secret clearance required and must maintain access to military installations.
Work Environment & Benefits
