About the Role

We are partnering with a premier P&C Insurance provider seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to enhance their security infrastructure and protect critical systems from cyber threats. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security technologies and contribute to a dynamic, high-performance security team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions to protect company networks, systems, and data.
  • Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, responding proactively to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT, risk management, and compliance teams to align security strategies with business goals.
  • Implement SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  • Investigate security breaches, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay current with evolving cyber threats, trends, and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or risk management.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, IAM, cloud security, and threat intelligence.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze security threats, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
