Stock Associate - Bloomingdale's 59th Street

James Perse Enterprises is seeking a Full Time Stock Associate for its Bloomingdale's 59th Street location.

Objective of the Position

The stock associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the selling floor. They are also responsible for the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room. This role involves managing all operational functions within the stockroom, including executing directives from the store manager and corporate office to efficiently supervise inventory and its associated management components.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Manages the in-store receiving process, ensuring timely and accurate notification of necessary parties and paperwork completion.
• Oversees re-pricing projects from inception to completion, delegating tasks on the sales floor as needed for accuracy and timeliness.
• Performs sensing, tagging, steaming, folding, and hanging of merchandise as required.
• Manages floorset preparation merchandise in partnership with the Store Manager to ensure on-time and efficient implementation.
• Replenishes merchandise from the stock room to the selling floor daily.
• Executes transfers, returns, and damages as needed and/or directed.
• Processes customer charge sends per JP policy and procedure and follows up on customer inquiries on behalf of the sending store.
• Ensures the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times per JP Standard Directives.
• Conducts stockroom audits to ensure consistent sizing, folding, and organization per company standards.
• Maintains and audits store receiving, returns, transfer, and negative oversold unit reporting in Retail Pro, ensuring proper inventory paperwork completion.
• Is accountable for the store exceeding the Company Shrink Goal by minimizing unit loss.
• Manages store preparation for physical inventories based on preparation directives and planning packets.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience

• Some heavy lifting required.
• High attention to detail and reporting accuracy is essential for precise inventory tracking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Retail Pro experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of inventory maintenance programs is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College Degree preferred.

Pay Transparency

This position pays $21.00 per hour. Candidates for this location must be approved for hire by Bloomingdale’s, which will ultimately employ and compensate the associate.
