Your Responsibilities as a Senior Bridge Designer

  • Lead and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Use relevant Structural/Bridges design software.
  • Develop networks with global technology leaders for Bridges.
  • Ensure that quality control plans are followed, incorporating health and safety into design.
  • Lead and deliver bridges design, project documentation including reports and contract documents for various design stages like feasibility studies, tenders designs, detailed designs etc.
  • Track project programs and delivery dates.
  • Undertake technical reviews and checking.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients, both external and internal.
  • Assist others with bidding (technical).
  • Deliver projects in English.

Here's What You'll Need

  • Master's in a relevant accredited engineering degree.
  • Chartered Engineer of an appropriate professional body.
  • Very good command of English.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Relevant experience gained within a design office, particularly in the field of Bridges design, analysis, assessment, inspection and reports.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Personal skills: well organized, team player but with an ability to work independently when required.
