Overview
The Regional Planning SME at Jabil is a strategic leader and technical expert in materials planning for Jabil’s U.S. operations. This role is responsible for standardizing processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring excellence across planning systems and talent development.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for standardized materials planning processes.
- Implement and optimize planning systems and applications across multiple sites.
- Coach, mentor, and train regional planning teams.
- Monitor and analyze planning metrics to ensure operational control and performance.
- Conduct internal audits and drive process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead complex planning projects including scope definition, KPI setting, risk mitigation, and change management.
- Collaborate with global teams to share data-driven best practices.
- Support Lean initiatives by ensuring data integrity and process discipline.
- Comply with all company policies including security and safety standards.
Experience & Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. A minimum of 12 years of experience, with at least 3 years in materials planning, is required. Proven expertise in project leadership, change management, planning systems, and manufacturing operations is essential. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and planning software is a must.
Preferred certifications include PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Silver or Black Belt), APICS or other Supply Chain certifications, and Rapid Response Authoring Level certification.
Travel & Reporting
This role requires up to 50% travel across Jabil sites. It reports to the Regional Planning Manager and may involve leading cross-functional project teams.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this role is $121,200 - $218,200, with additional short-term incentives based on performance. Jabil offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employee stock purchase, and paid time off.
