Job Summary
The Application Security Architect at Jabil provides technical leadership and defines the direction for IT architecture, standards, design, and implementation for application systems, infrastructure, and network-based cloud product systems. This expert-level role requires independent action to establish methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
IT Architecture: Understand Jabil business and IT strategies; define solution architecture in line with company methodology; lead customers, project managers, domain architects, and application engineers; consult with Enterprise and Senior IT Architects; assess alternative technical approaches; and validate solutions through modeling or prototyping.
- Develop expertise in various architecture disciplines including Enterprise, Business, Information, Application, and Technology Infrastructure Architecture.
- Mentor IT professionals while ensuring non-functional requirements are met (security, disaster recovery, availability, performance).
Program Management: Design, build, and integrate an enterprise SSDLC program; develop and lead an Application Security domain roadmap; manage strategy, standards, and integration of security principles into solution design.
Training & Tools: Promote secure software development practices with training sessions; provide subject matter expertise in application security technologies (SAST, DAST, SCA, WAF, etc).
Knowledge Requirements
- Experience designing/building secure SDLC programs in large enterprises.
- Deep understanding of secure software development practices, vulnerability identification, and remediation.
- Expertise in threat modeling (OWASP, MITRE) and risk assessments for advanced models including LLM and GenAI.
- Familiarity with architectural components, software engineering principles, and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages, server-side and client-side technologies, and cloud and integration platforms.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems preferred. Minimum 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Certifications such as CCSP, CCSK, and TOGAF are preferred.
