Job Overview

The Sales Manager at J Hospitality & Development LLC is responsible for using independent judgment and professional discretion to book substantial, profitable business into the hotel. The role takes into consideration both the needs of the hotel and those of the client, making sound business decisions based on general pricing guidelines and booking patterns.

Essential Functions

  • Sell group rooms and service accounts.
  • Develop and follow up on leads for assigned markets.
  • Conduct effective sales programs and achieve established goals.
  • Develop and implement new or special market programs.
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • Maintain communication with in-house groups and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and assist in compiling specialized and forecasting reports.
  • Collaborate with the Reservation Department to meet targets.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED combined with at least three years of hotel sales experience is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Attention to detail and the ability to establish effective working relationships are essential. CPR certification is preferred.
