Overview

Izzio Artisan Bakery is America’s #1 Sourdough Artisan Bakery and the fastest growing brand. We are expanding to a second facility in Thornton, CO. The Shift Operations Manager will lead production operations at our Louisville, CO location ensuring high quality baked goods produced in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

Position Summary

As the Shift Operations Manager, you will oversee production processes, manage employee scheduling, and ensure compliance with production guidelines. You will monitor quality, safety, productivity, and cost control, while fostering team development and inter-departmental cooperation.

Essential Functions

  • Organize production line activities to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain production records and audit documentation.
  • Review departmental performance metrics and initiate corrective actions.
  • Implement process improvements and lead change initiatives.
  • Coordinate weekly production scheduling with the Production Planner.
  • Develop high performing teams through direct coaching and training.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and recommend training programs.
  • Ensure adherence to Production SOPs, GMP, HACCP and Safety guidelines.
  • Conduct regular shift meetings to address work-related topics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

A minimum of 8 years food manufacturing experience (commercial baking preferred) and 5 years managing teams of 15+ individuals is required. A High School Diploma is mandatory, although a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong organizational, math, and communication skills are essential. Flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts is required, along with the ability to work in varying environments.

Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions

This role involves prolonged standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting up to 50 pounds with possible assistance for heavier loads. The environment may include exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and food allergens.

Reporting

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Location & Compensation

The role is located on-site in Louisville, CO. Compensation is based on experience with a base range from $80,000 to $120,000, negotiable based on relevant qualifications in food manufacturing.
