About the Role

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions globally, is seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join as a Math Curriculum Designer with an emphasis on assessment design.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Write and review engaging assessment items for K–12 math.
  • Review items for clarity, quality, typos, formatting, and mathematical accuracy.
  • Develop achievement level descriptors and assessment documentation.
  • Collaborate with curriculum designers, psychometricians, program managers, and company leaders.
  • Coordinate with contracted item writers, editors, and visual designers.
  • Research and analyze content requirements per state educational standards.
  • Assist with other curriculum design projects, including standards alignment and problem writing.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's in Mathematics preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 2+ years of assessment writing experience, statewide or national preferred.
  • K–12 math teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Excellent writing and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and open to collaboration.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer programming, mobile, and web technologies is a bonus.
