Role Overview

The Data Science Engineer / Senior Research Engineer role at Abhibus sits at the intersection of AI/ML, classical data science, and data engineering. You will design and implement ML models, build robust data pipelines, and generate insights that drive product strategy for millions of travellers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design AI-driven features for search, personalization, pricing, and fraud detection.
• Develop, maintain and optimize ETL/data pipelines for ML model training and analytics.
• Translate business requirements into scalable models and production systems.
• Perform statistical analysis, A/B testing, and causal inference for experiments.
• Adapt academic research for practical, product-oriented applications.

Qualifications & Skills

Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics with 2–6 years of experience. Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, ML/DL, and statistics with proficiency in Python (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy) and hands-on experience with SQL and data pipeline tools (Airflow, Spark, Kafka, dbt).

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), ML deployment tools, and big data technologies. Contributions to open-source ML or published research are a plus.
