Job Overview

The Senior Machine Learning and AI Engineer at Ivy Technology is responsible for developing advanced machine vision and AI algorithms to solve complex business challenges in electronics repair.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced machine vision and AI algorithms using Python and libraries like OpenCV, NumPy, and more.
  • Lead data-driven decision making and collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Build, train, and evaluate deep learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Oversee data acquisition, cleaning, augmentation, and preprocessing for robust model performance.
  • Develop rigorous testing, validation methodologies and performance optimization strategies.
  • Deploy models into production on cloud platforms such as AWS EC2, SageMaker and integrate with edge devices.
  • Communicate technical insights effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Conduct research on emerging machine vision, deep learning, and AI technologies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Document algorithms, models, and system architectures; lead projects from conception to deployment.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in machine vision and AI projects.
  • Proficient in Python programming and relevant IDEs.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras) and computer vision libraries.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), database technologies and version control tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Proficiency in additional programming languages such as C++ or Java.
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and experience in manufacturing or service sectors.
  • Certifications in statistics, machine learning/AI, or related disciplines.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a relevant field is a plus.
