Overview of the Head of Operations Engineering Role at IVHR
IVHR is seeking a Head of Operations Engineering with robust experience in the automotive industry, driven by process optimization and operational leadership. This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity for a professional to directly influence operational performance and lead diverse technical teams within a dynamic international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and continuously improve production processes in adherence to Lean principles and QCDSM indicators.
- Coordinate Application Engineering, Test Engineering, and Maintenance departments, actively contributing to their strategic planning.
- Optimize manufacturing processes by effectively applying Lean Management methodologies (6S, 7 Waste).
- Monitor costs and key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing corrective actions promptly when necessary.
- Ensure the optimal operational state of production lines and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between teams, including planning and conducting targeted training sessions.
- Conduct thorough root-cause analyses and implement effective short-term, medium-term, and long-term improvement measures.
- Collaborate with central functions and external suppliers to standardize solutions across operations.
Essential Requirements
- Hold a higher technical education qualification.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of proven experience within the automotive industry.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in English and/or German.
- Be experienced with critical methodologies such as P-FMEA, 8D, JIT, One Piece Flow, Line Balancing, and VSM.
- Exhibit strong analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
