About the Role
The Learning Experience Designer (LED) at Ivey Business School at Western University is a full-time, temporary 12-month contract starting November 2025. This role involves creating and sustaining online and blended learning content, collaborating with faculty, SMEs, and various internal stakeholders. The LED will leverage innovative educational technologies to transform learning experiences for both degree and non-degree programs.
Responsibilities
Course/Content Creation:
- Develop engaging learning modules and digital content.
- Collaborate with SMEs and Ivey stakeholders to convert and deploy content.
- Create and lead training and support documentation or sessions.
- Plan and execute learner surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Project Planning & Consulting:
- Manage multiple projects ensuring timely, high quality delivery.
- Develop standard methodologies for blended learning experiences.
- Work with faculty and external partners on high-quality educational content.
Quality, Maintenance, and Review:
- Maintain quality review practices and develop QA plans.
- Ensure compliance with AODA, WCAG and copyright legislation.
Innovation & Research:
- Participate in external educational groups and conferences.
- Research innovative trends and solutions in higher education.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, education, instructional design, or related field; preferably from Ivey Business School. 2-5 years’ experience in creating, curating, and managing learning experiences and using learning management systems. An understanding of UI/UX and graphic design is considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities
Digital fluency, collaborative approach, and proven ability to influence key stakeholders. Must be attentive, motivated, and consultative in building strong relationships.
