Join IU International University of Applied Sciences as an M365 Solution Architect / Engineer
Strengthen our Modern Workplace Team in a full-time capacity (40 hrs./ week) as an M365 Solution Architect / Engineer. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from Germany or the UK, or from one of our office locations.
This position is pivotal in enabling secure, scalable, and innovative M365 and Atlassian solutions. You will drive Copilot adoption and optimize automation to enhance enterprise productivity across the university.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Lead Copilot Studio and M365 Copilot initiatives, focusing on designing scalable copilots, building essential plugins/connectors, and driving adoption with clear value metrics.
- Implement comprehensive governance and security controls, including information protection, data loss prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, retention policies, eDiscovery, and conditional access.
- Architect and deliver cutting-edge M365 solutions across key platforms such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Power Platform, and Microsoft Purview.
- Automate processes at scale utilizing PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, configuration-as-code principles, and CI/CD pipelines for M365 and Power Platform environments.
- Facilitate strong collaboration with security, data, and compliance teams to ensure responsible AI practices and robust data governance for copilots and citizen development initiatives.
Your Ideal Profile
- You possess 3-5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and operating Microsoft 365 at an enterprise scale.
- Proficiency with Copilot Studio or Power Virtual Agents is essential, alongside M365 Copilot readiness and the ability to build AI-assisted workflows grounded in Microsoft Graph and organizational data.
- Strong Power Platform skills are required, including expertise in Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, custom connectors, DLP policies, and environment strategy.
- You demonstrate deep expertise in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Purview, specifically with labels, retention policies, and eDiscovery.
- Excellence in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, source control (Git), and CI/CD methodologies (Azure DevOps or GitHub) is crucial.
