Scope of Role

The DevOps Platform Engineer role at ITRS involves developing and evolving the infrastructure for our product suite including Geneos, Opsview, and ITRS Analytics. Reporting to the Platform Engineering Manager, you will work in a hybrid model with typically 2 days per week in the London office and occasional full-time client site engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve infrastructure for continuous product delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Tech Comms, and Support to define best practices.
  • Consult directly with clients to support successful deployment.
  • Improve system manageability and supportability by defining new features.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of DevOps experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container technologies.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes packaging and release management tools (Helm, ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Solid Linux system administration and shell scripting skills.
  • Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) and VCS like Git.
  • Familiarity with network security, TCP/IP, virtualisation (VMWare, ESXI), and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with DNS, LDAP, Active Directory, Firewalls, VPN configuration.
  • Knowledge of Configuration as Code (GitOps) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Experience with configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
