Job Description: Aerial Lineman at ITG Communications, LLC
The Aerial Lineman at ITG Communications, LLC performs a variety of critical duties related to the installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of overhead and/or underground distribution systems and transmission facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and repair various communication products and infrastructure.
- Run cable within buildings; lash and de-lash existing cable systems.
- Execute all duties associated with aerial maintenance and line work.
- Install and remove diverse anchor systems, including sidewalk arms and guy guards.
- Ensure all installation work adheres strictly to established quality standards.
- Assist in coordinating efforts with local utility companies when required.
- Provide support for work overflow to maintain operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Understand and follow emergency restoration protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in the Aerial Lineman role, candidates must possess the following:
- Three years of hands-on experience in coax, aerial, and fiber construction.
- Experience with installation and network upgrades is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in pole climbing and working effectively from hooks/gaffs.
- Demonstrated ability to climb poles and work safely at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet.
- Proven experience in all types of Pole Transfer.
- A strong capacity to learn and apply knowledge of electrical principles.
- Flexibility to work long and unpredictable hours as required.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is essential.
