About the Clinical Research Coordinator Role

Job Description
We are seeking a full-time, experienced Clinical Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will facilitate all facets of gastrointestinal clinical research studies.
Responsibilities
- Administratively and clinically manage industry-sponsored clinical trials
- Adhere to Research SOPs, Good Clinical Practices, and study protocols
- Communicate status and results to senior management
- Train site personnel on regulatory and lab procedures
- Assist in patient recruitment via chart reviews and interviews
- Verify informed consent documentation and discuss study protocols
- Review patient medical history against Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria
- Perform blood draws, process specimens, and adhere to IATA regulations
- Schedule research visits and execute protocol-specific procedures
- Complete and maintain case report forms per FDA guidelines
- Maintain client contact and resolve inquiries
- Assist with data verification and quality control
- Ensure regulatory documents are filed and maintained
- Prepare for monitor visits and draft monthly reports
- Support improvements in patient satisfaction and experience
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant or LPN required; Associates degree preferred
- 1+ years experience in clinical research coordination (phase II/III trials)
- Experience in GI trials preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CTMS, and EMR systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness for periodic local travel
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, and lift up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment
