Iterable is the leading AI-powered customer engagement platform empowering over 1,200 brands. The Platform Engineer II - Observability drives system reliability and performance by optimizing monitoring, logging, tracing, and metrics platforms.
How You Will Make an Impact
You will own and enhance a robust observability stack, ensuring system visibility across 100+ services and multi-Kubernetes clusters.
- Design, deploy and scale observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
- Automate telemetry pipelines for high-signal, low-noise alerting.
- Enhance platform features to boost developer experience.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine dashboards and alerts.
- Participate in on-call rotations focused on recovery and improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full observability stack and support petabyte-scale telemetry.
- Instrument monitoring, logging, tracing and metrics across services.
- Ship platform features to boost performance and reliability.
- Partner with teams to integrate observability into SDLC.
- Reduce MTTR and cost with effective alerting strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of professional software or SRE experience.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and modern cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, Go or similar scripting languages.
- Experience with observability platforms like Datadog, Prometheus, and Elastic.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Bonus Points
- Experience with OpenTelemetry Collectors at scale.
- Operated large K8s clusters or written controllers/operators.
- Practical GitOps experience.
