About the Role
As a Snack Bar Attendant at Island Hospitality Management, you will be the central resource for our quick-service food operations. Your primary focus will be providing guests with genuine hospitality, speed, and accuracy. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience within the Food & Beverage sector and is crucial to the program's success.
This is a seasonal position and may require flexible scheduling availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, quality, genuine hospitality to each guest.
- Greet guests, take orders, prepare, and serve offerings according to established standards.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (canned and draft).
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu and offerings, including dietary and allergen guidelines.
- Operate cash register, handle cash and credit card payments accurately, and provide change.
- Prepare food and beverages throughout the day, anticipating and reacting to guest volume.
- Work neatly and safely, adhering to Health Department Rules and Regulations for sanitation.
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining food and beverage preparation processes.
- Complete food and beverage preparation assignments accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion.
- Perform assigned shift opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Stock and replenish food, beverages, paper products, and utensils as needed.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain amenities according to sanitation guidelines.
- Wash cookware and utensils throughout the day, following sanitation standards.
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet usage.
- Flexibility to work events during non-business hours.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Work hours are variable, based on guest occupancy, season, and staffing; a specific number of hours per week cannot be guaranteed.
