Senior Instructional Design Consultant
ISG is seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Instructional Design Consultant to join our team. You will have the autonomy to help clients improve their digital infrastructure while being supported by over 1400 global teammates.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior Instructional Designer to join our learning and development consulting team. You will design and develop cutting-edge training solutions, including Instructor-Led Training, eLearning, and system training simulations using tools like WalkMe and SAP Enable Now. Your work will be crucial in driving user adoption and proficiency in enterprise systems.
This is a 1099 Contractor Role with the potential for full-time conversion.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Training Lead, you will create end-user training and supporting materials for enterprise systems and processes. Typical deliverables include:
- Learning Strategy: Work stream/functional area specific Learning Needs Analysis, Role-based learning paths, Learning program measurement metrics.
- Training Project Management: Manage content development with internal and external partners, and manage SME/Content Owner relationships.
- Training Development: Develop learning assets such as Course outlines, Instructor-led training materials, Online (eLearning) modules, Coaching outlines, Job Aids, Process training, Software/system simulations, Scenario-based learning cases, and Exercise sheets with supporting practice data.
- Training Delivery: Support the delivery and facilitation of In-Person/Virtual training.
- Training Evaluation: Create content-related Learner proficiency measurements.
Required Skillsets
- This position is fully remote, but some travel may be required. Must be a U.S. citizen physically located in the U.S. Availability to work primarily on Eastern Standard Time (EST) and across multiple time zones is required.
- Rapid Training Development Tools: Proven expertise with Articulate360, WalkMe, and/or SAP Enable Now is strongly preferred.
- Instructional Design: Minimum 3-4 years of instructional design experience, specifically in enterprise systems and applications training within a corporate or consulting environment. SAP S/4 highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning best practices.
- Consulting and Client Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a client-facing consulting role for Instructional Design.
- Business Process: Strong understanding of fundamental business processes (Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, HR) within modern enterprises.
- Project Management: Proven capabilities to self-manage and oversee tasks delegated to collaboration partners.
- Team Collaboration and Quality: Ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts to produce high-quality learning deliverables.
- English Grammar: Exceptional English language skills, including grammar and adherence to content standards and style guides.
- Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Superior collaboration and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Accessibility: Familiarity with accessibility standards and creating inclusive learning experiences.
- Adaptability and flexibility: Ability to recognize different learning styles and adjust teaching methods.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Certifications in relevant content development tools are a plus.
