About the role

Senior Instructional Design Consultant

ISG is seeking a dynamic and creative Senior Instructional Design Consultant to join our learning and development team. You will have the autonomy to help clients improve their digital infrastructure, supported by a global team of over 1400 colleagues.

Position Overview

As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will design and develop cutting-edge training materials, including Instructor-Led Training, self-paced eLearning, and system training simulations. You will utilize rapid training development tools such as WalkMe and SAP Enable Now to create effective learning products that enhance user adoption and proficiency in enterprise systems.

This is a 1099 Contractor Role with potential for full-time conversion.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a Training Lead, you will work on client projects to create end-user training and supporting materials for systems and processes. Your typical deliverables will include:

  • Learning Strategy: Developing learning needs analysis, role-based learning paths, and program measurement metrics.
  • Training Project Management: Managing content development collaborations with internal and client partners, and managing SME/Content Owner relationships.
  • Training Development: Creating learning assets such as course outlines, instructor-led training materials, eLearning modules, coaching outlines, job aids, process training, software/system simulations, scenario-based learning cases, and exercise sheets with practice data.
  • Training Delivery: Supporting in-person and virtual training delivery and facilitation.
  • Training Evaluation: Developing content-related learner proficiency measurements.

Required Skillsets

  • Location: Fully remote, with potential for some travel. Must be a U.S. citizen physically located in the U.S. Availability to work primarily on Eastern Standard Time (EST) and across multiple time zones.
  • Rapid Training Development Tools: Proven expertise with Articulate360, WalkMe, and/or SAP Enable Now.
  • Instructional Design: 3-4 years of experience in instructional design for enterprise systems and applications training. SAP S/4 experience is highly preferred. Proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning best practices.
  • Consulting and Client Experience: 1-2 years in a client-facing consulting role for Instructional Design.
  • Business Process: Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, and Human Resources business processes.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to self-manage and oversee tasks delegated to collaboration partners.
  • Team Collaboration and Quality: Ability to collaborate effectively with SMEs to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • English Language Skills: Exceptional grammar, writing, and speaking skills, with the ability to apply content standards and style guides.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Superior collaboration and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
