Overview
The Principal Emerging Technologies Professional Practices plays a critical role in shaping ISACA’s technical content strategy and advancing its position as a global thought leader in digital trust and innovation. This role develops forward-looking content and hands-on learning environments in cybersecurity, cloud, AI, and disruptive technologies, while serving as a subject matter expert and strategic advisor.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of emerging technical content for training, research deliverables, and credentialing materials.
- Create virtual laboratory environments and ensure functionality with best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for conference and event content.
- Recruit, manage, and support volunteer groups of subject matter experts.
- Support hands-on learning and research for new technical tools and simulations.
- Respond to customer support tickets with detailed explanations and escalate as needed.
- Participate in strategic alliance building to increase ISACA’s visibility.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Instructional Design or related field; 8-10 years experience in technical content development and hands-on lab environments; familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as CyberChef, Kibana, Metasploit Framework, Nmap, OpenVAS, Security Onion, Wireshark; proficiency with PowerShell and Python.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Technology Management, Information Systems, Digital Learning or Educational Technology; 10+ years of relevant experience; experience with performance-based assessments and online lab deployment; certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Azure Associate, CCOA, CEH, CISSP, CISM.

Travel & Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary ranges between $109,138 and $163,759, exclusive of additional incentives and benefits. Specific pay is based on skills, experience, market trends, internal equity, and education.
