About the role
About the Project
Ironhack, in collaboration with IDDA and the Ministry of Higher Education of Azerbaijan, presents IT SkillSprint, a program for 3rd-year university students. This intensive bootcamp allows students to be fully released from their regular classes, with earned credits counting towards their university degrees.Timeline & Baku Visit
Onboarding is expected at the end of April remotely. Classes begin as soon as possible, with an on-site experience in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the final two weeks of the course. All travel expenses for the Baku visit, including flights and accommodation, will be covered. The program concludes on July 17th with in-person final project presentations and a closing ceremony. A potential short remote extension for student mentorship is also possible.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As the Lead Teacher, you will guide a class of 28 students, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Key responsibilities include:
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach Java, Spring Boot, React, and AI integration using tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT.
- Daily Sessions: Conduct classes Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 16:30 CEST.
- Student Support: Assist students with labs and their final graduation projects.
- On-site Leadership: Lead the final sprint and graduation ceremony in Baku during July.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js).
- AI Integration: Experience utilizing AI tools for coding and debugging.
- Language: Full fluency in English is mandatory.
- Availability: Willingness to travel to Azerbaijan for the final two weeks of the program in July.
