About the role

We are seeking a Full-time Cybersecurity Lead Instructor for our Remote campus. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and dedicated to sharing your expertise with aspiring professionals, this role at Ironhack offers an exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities

The Ironhack experience

  • Oversee the entire academic experience of the Ironhack bootcamp.
  • Teach at our Remote campus from Monday to Friday (09:00 to 18:00 CET).
  • Manage Teaching Assistants and Central Teaching Assistants to ensure class success.
  • Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic community catering to diverse learning needs.
  • Challenge students to think strategically and develop real user experience solutions.
  • Inspire and support students in identifying their passions and driving continuous learning beyond the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Outcomes Managers to help students achieve professional goals.
  • Administer assessment tasks and provide timely, accurate feedback on learning outcomes.

Curriculum & Instruction

  • Teach core topics including network administration, incident handling, ethical hacking, threat intelligence, and risk management.
  • Lead hands-on projects and activities to equip students with practical, job-ready skills.
  • Ensure students master program outcomes such as running secure networks, handling cybersecurity incidents, and developing proactive defense strategies.

Collaborate with Global Team

  • Collaborate with Curriculum Engineers to continuously improve the curriculum.
  • Work with the global team on the rollout of new teaching materials.
  • Adapt the global curriculum, build personal lesson plans as needed, and contribute lessons learned.
  • Create engaging content for Cybersecurity courses, including lessons, exercises, and mini-projects.

Community Building

  • Foster a strong sense of community and participate in student events.
  • Facilitate a supportive and energetic learning community that extends beyond the course duration.

Requirements

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or a related field, preferably in a leadership role.
  • You are fluent in English, as all classes and in-company communication will be in English.
  • You possess a strong passion for cybersecurity and teaching.
  • You are experienced in networking, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and using tools like SIEM, IDS, and firewalls.
  • You have successfully created new teaching techniques and materials.
  • You can adjust lesson plans based on student learning progress and difficulties.
  • You can provide clear instructions and organize activities with guidance from PMs or TAs.
  • You can effectively alternate between whole-class instruction and pair/group work.
  • You have experience managing and motivating a team.
  • You proactively anticipate and address potential problems.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to capture attention.
  • You are organized, reliable, communicative, and open to feedback.
  • You enjoy teaching and mentoring others within the tech community.
