About the Role: Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting
The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations. This position involves a comprehensive range of financial reporting and accounting responsibilities, contributing significantly to both quarterly and year-end reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the meticulous preparation of all aspects of SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring accurate disclosure checklists, footnote disclosures, and financial statement tie-outs.
- Support the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and various investor relations presentations.
- Maintain robust internal controls to guarantee the accuracy and quality of financial statements and uphold Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts.
- Execute quarterly close and reporting activities, encompassing account reconciliations, roll-forwards, cash flow statements, and other supporting schedules, actively identifying and resolving issues through research and analysis.
- Perform monthly close and reporting activities specifically related to stock-based compensation, earnings per share (EPS) calculations, and other associated tasks.
- Provide essential support to external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews.
- Engage in special projects and fulfill other assigned duties as needed.
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of comprehensive accounting experience, which may include audit, consulting, and/or corporate accounting roles.
- At least 2 years of dedicated experience in a Senior Auditor or Senior Accountant capacity with direct SEC reporting responsibilities.
- Proven experience operating within a Sarbanes-Oxley–compliant environment.
- Strong foundational knowledge and practical proficiency in U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational skills and the capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Strong interpersonal skills, enabling collaborative engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ways to Impress Us (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or an equivalent professional certification.
- Previous experience in Big Four public accounting.
- Proficiency with specific software: SAP, Equity Edge Online, and Workiva.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting for equity-related transactions, including share-based compensation and the intricacies of equity award grants, exercises, and cancellations.
- A proactive eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges in a dynamic, rapidly expanding environment.
Location
This is a Remote - US position.
Estimated Compensation
The estimated annual pay range for this role is $112,000.00 - $145,000.00. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and specific work location.
