Web Crawling Assistant (Java/JSoup) - English Proficient
Join IQVIA on an exciting journey as a Web Crawling Assistant! We are seeking a passionate and dynamic professional to maintain and support new web crawling initiatives with diverse information sources for Switzerland.
If you want to play a key role in a large, international team within a fast-moving, growing business unit, this could be the role for you.
What To Expect
- Set up new webpages on the tool and modify existing configurations for proper maintenance and functionality.
- Support various departments requiring web crawling for initial setup and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Collaborate closely with team members and Project Managers to gather requirements, design, implement, and release solutions.
- Build threat research systems for internal tools.
- Write design documents, software development guidelines, and best practices.
Our Ideal Candidate: Skills & Other Requirements
- Proficient in English. German knowledge is a plus.
- Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE)
- Spring 4 MVC (Backend framework)
- JSoup Library (Crawler Library)
- HSQLDB (in-memory data store)
- Bootstrap 3 (Front-end Javascript)
- HTML 5 (Front-end)
- Apache Tomcat 8 (Application server)
- Knowledge of web crawlers, machine learning, and web content classification.
