Job Description

Role Summary

As a Google Cloud Engineer at IP Technics LLC, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and operating production workloads on Google Cloud Platform. This role involves owning architecture decisions, ensuring security, optimizing performance and reliability, and managing cost across cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement GCP solutions utilizing core services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, and Cloud Storage.
  • Design robust and secure network architectures, including VPC design, hybrid connectivity solutions, VPN/Interconnect, and comprehensive firewalling strategies.
  • Implement and maintain IAM policies, organizational policies, robust security controls, comprehensive logging mechanisms, and proactive monitoring solutions.
  • Lead and execute cloud migrations from on-premise infrastructure or other cloud providers to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and integrate these automations into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Continuously optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency, performance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot L2/L3 production incidents, conducting thorough root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain detailed architecture documentation and operational runbooks for all cloud environments and solutions.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or architecture, specifically with GCP production environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Linux administration and core networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, routing).
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes (GKE), containerization technologies, and microservices architectures.
  • Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Expertise in observability tools and practices, particularly Cloud Monitoring/Logging, and adherence to security best practices.
  • Mandatory: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
