Overview
IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in migration, established in 1951. With a commitment to humane and orderly migration, the Project Associate Movement Management role in Ireland directly supports the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Retrieve, compile, analyze, and present project data.
- Monitor budget, verify funds, and update budget information.
- Coordinate administrative tasks and liaise with various organizational units and external parties.
- Draft reports, status updates and correspondence on project issues.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Coordinate with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor work of implementing partners and report non-compliances.
- Provide guidance and training to new or junior staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess either a high school diploma with five years experience or a relevant bachelor’s degree with three years professional experience. Experience in liaising with governmental and international institutions, working with migrants and vulnerable groups, and a background in international humanitarian organizations is preferred.
Skills & Languages
Advanced communication skills, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet), administrative and organizational abilities are required. Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of other IOM official languages is advantageous.
