Overview

The Character Modeling Specialist – AI Trainer at Invisible Expert Marketplace is a remote contract role seeking skilled 3D modeling specialists proficient in both hard surface and organic modeling. The job involves creating accurate, production-ready digital assets from 2D reference material.

What You’ll Do

Translate 2D reference images into precise 3D models ensuring accurate geometry, proportions, and topology. Supplement references to resolve occlusions or blurry details. Produce high-quality models across distinct asset categories:

• Hard surface: vehicles, props, machinery.
• Organic: humans, animals, plants, natural forms.
• Environment & architecture: buildings, landscapes, set pieces, world assets.

Iterate on models based on feedback, aligning assets with project quality standards and artistic direction.

What We’re Looking For

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in 3D Art, Animation, Game Design, Computer Graphics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. You should have:

• Proficiency in industry-standard modeling tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Houdini, 3ds Max).
• Familiarity with texturing/UV workflows (e.g., Substance Painter, Mari).
• A portfolio showcasing hard surface, organic, and environmental assets.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, form, and material definition.
• Ability to clearly communicate process and problem-solving steps.
• Comfort in iterative pipelines with a collaborative mindset.

Compensation Details

This role offers a pay rate of $22 per hour. As a contractor, you’ll supply your own secure computer and high‑speed internet. Note that company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
