This team detects and prevents fraud while minimizing impact on legitimate customers.Role Overview
As a Staff Fraud and Risk Analyst, you will collaborate with Risk Operations, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to design and implement fraud mitigation risk strategies. - Develop fraud risk policies for innovative consumer lending and banking products, focusing on new money movement features.
- Create end-to-end risk policies and ensure alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Manage fraud risk aspects of business initiatives and respond to fraud-related events.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to analyze large-scale account and transactional data to build/optimize fraud risk strategies and policies.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable business plans.
- Lead the full cycle of risk strategy/policy work: identify opportunities, develop and test policies, launch to production, and monitor performance.
- Build subject matter expertise in various risks within money movement offerings to balance risk mitigation and growth.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, risk operations, product, data engineering, and analytics teams to drive customer segmentation, develop risk strategies, and perform portfolio analyses.
- Test and recommend third-party data providers for identity theft, account takeover (ATO), and other exposure risks.
- Design, implement, and monitor tests to explore new methodologies and estimate key metrics for risk strategies.
- Apply good judgment, creative thinking, and strategic planning to solve complex problems.
Qualifications
- Strong business acumen and exceptional analytical ability.
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science), OR MS/PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience in Fintech, NeoBanking, Crypto, or the Money Movement space.
- Working knowledge of risk policy fundamentals for consumer loans and lines of credit, including fraud detection and identity checks.
- Demonstrated experience in designing experiments and using data-driven insights to solve business problems.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Hive, Hadoop) is preferred.
- Excellent partnership and communication skills, with the ability to interact cross-functionally with business and technical partners.
- Ability to tell compelling data stories to influence stakeholders and build consensus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain responsive and decisive during peak fraud activity.
- Passion for data analysis and a strong curiosity for complex business issues, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving innovation.
Compensation & Benefits
Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with strong pay-for-performance rewards. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits. The expected base pay range for this position in New York City is $168,000 - $228,000 annually. Pay is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
