About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software solutions. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and talented individual looking to grow their career in a dynamic and innovative environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with established coding standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Contribute to code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from peers.
  • Learn and apply new technologies and development methodologies as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions, sharing ideas and insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundational understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in software development.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of database concepts and SQL.

Compensation & Benefits

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. The expected base pay range for this position in Toronto, Ontario is $99,000 - $133,500 CAD.
