As a Senior Staff Data Platform Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of this initiative, evolving our Data Lake platform services. Your focus will be on solving major customer problems, strengthening security and compliance, and delivering delightful experiences as we redefine how internal customers consume and produce data.
Responsibilities
- Be a Subject Matter Expert in data processing, data consumption, data movement, or data persistence.
- Possess a deep understanding of Lakehouse architecture and Databricks workflows.
- Deeply understand customer problems using research, studies, interviews, feedback, and metrics.
- Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills with engineering, architecture, and business teams.
- Own your product, setting a clear vision, defining the roadmap, and sharing it cross-functionally.
- Inspire and lead teams to execute and deliver solutions solving critical customer problems.
- Ruthlessly prioritize your team's backlog to maximize customer impact.
- Identify, design, experiment, and iterate on product capabilities based on user feedback and market research.
- Define and analyze key success metrics to inform product decisions.
- Drive rapid product development with cross-functional teams for high-impact experiences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a modern, data-driven environment.
- Experience in user behavior data collection, data access management, data lake, data mesh, or data lineage.
- Proven experience building self-serve products from scratch, specifically data definition, SDKs, and APIs.
- Strong ability to unify elements, dream up user workflows, translate into engineering-ready stories, and collaborate with designers.
- Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and Domain Driven Design approaches to data as a product.
- A data-driven approach to customer understanding, roadmap prioritization, and measuring success.
- Ability to work in an agile fashion: go broad, go narrow, build, test, iterate.
- Capability to nurture multiple projects in parallel across different stages.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree is a plus.
