What You Will Do

In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping Intuit customers confidently complete their taxes using TurboTax products. You will apply sound professional judgment to provide excellent and timely support, contributing directly to Intuit's mission of “Powering Prosperity Around the World.”

  • Provide expert tax advice and full-service return preparation.
  • Perform accurate tax calculations for various customer scenarios.
  • Manage product and software inquiries related to TurboTax.
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and data security for sensitive customer and business information.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and internal team expertise to deliver precise and easy-to-understand answers.
  • Engage with customers virtually using state-of-the-art video communication software, documenting interactions for accurate records.
  • Interact professionally with customers and team members, upholding Intuit’s operating values, especially “integrity without compromise.”

Who You Are

We are looking for passionate and experienced tax professionals committed to client success and exceptional service.

  • Minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns.
  • Proficiency in using commercial tax preparation software.
  • Enthusiasm for guiding clients through tax complexities.
  • Strong commitment to enhancing the Intuit brand through customer delight.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with customers via video and audio tools.

What You Need

To succeed in this virtual role, certain credentials and availability are essential:

  • Possess or be able to obtain all necessary State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
  • An active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) is required.
  • Reliable internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.

Compensation

Intuit offers a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position varies by location, with examples including:

  • Bay Area California: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Southern California: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Colorado: $20.50 - $26.20/hour
  • Hawaii: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Illinois: $19.40 - $24.90/hour
  • Maryland: $20.50 - $26.20/hour
  • Massachusetts: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Minnesota: $18.40 - $23.90/hour
  • New Jersey: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • New York: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Ohio: $18.40 - $23.90/hour
  • Vermont: $20.50 - $26.20/hour
  • Washington: $21.50 - $27.50/hour
  • Washington DC: $21.50 - $27.50/hour

This position may also be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with applicable plans. Pay is determined by factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Intuit is committed to ongoing pay equity.
