As a Fraud and Risk Intern, you will work alongside product managers, engineers, and data scientists, delivering fresh insights and intelligent solutions to fight fraud.

What you'll bring
You possess strong business acumen and exceptional analytical skills with 1-2 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in fraud prevention or risk is a plus. You have advanced SQL and coding skills for data profiling, segmentation, and aggregation, and familiarity with statistical analysis. A strong working knowledge of relational databases and data visualization tools such as Excel, Python, Tableau, and QlikView is expected. Excellent communication, organization, and accountability are essential while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field, with a Master’s degree being preferred.
How you will lead
In this role as Fraud and Risk Intern, you will translate business questions into testable hypotheses, design experiments, and generate actionable insights. Your responsibilities include leveraging data to understand fraudulent behavior, identifying risk trends, and informing policy decisions. You will work on improving processes, delivering accurate risk metrics through dashboards, and curating standardized datasets. Collaboration with fraud investigation teams, policy makers, product managers, and data scientists is key. Tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, and spreadsheets will be integral to your daily tasks.
Compensation Details
This position is based in Mountain View, CA with an hourly rate of $47.60 - $64.40. It is eligible for cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits according to Intuit’s compensation plans.
