About the Role

Do you love solving puzzles, getting messy data to behave, or figuring out how things fit together? At InterWorks, our Data Engineering team is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to learn and grow while making a real impact on client projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and support modern, scalable data pipelines
  • Work with SQL, spreadsheets, APIs and other data sources
  • Apply data modeling to support dashboards and data science
  • Assist in ETL/ELT processes that boost quality and reliability
  • Document work and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with teammates and clients to deliver needed solutions

What You’ll Need

Must-Haves: Basic SQL, familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows, understanding of data modeling concepts, strong communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.

Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP); experience with ETL tools like Matillion, Fivetran, or dbt; familiarity with modern data warehouses; basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar); interest in software engineering and AI.

Location & Salary

Offices available in Portland, OKC, Tulsa, or Stillwater with potential remote options. Salary ranges from $65,000–$90,000 depending on experience.
